Composition:
Each 10 ml suspension contains:
Sucralfate
1000 mg.
Simethicone .
20 mg.
Each tablet contains
sucralfate
.1000 mg.
Indications:
Ulcifat is indicated in:
- Short-term treatment ( up to 8
weeks ) of active duodenal
ulcer. While healing with
sucralfate may occur during the
first week or two, treatment
should be continued for 4 to 8
week unless healing has been
demonstrated by X-ray or
endoscopic examination.
- Maintenance therapy for
duodenal ulcer patients at
reduced dosage after healing of
acute ulcers.
Dosage and Administration:
2 teaspoonfuls 4 times a day, 1
hour before each meal and at
bedtime and 2 times a day for
preventing ulcers.
While healing with sucralfate
may occur during the first week
or two, treatment should be
continued for 4 to 8 weeks
unless healing has been
demonstrated by X-ray or
endoscopic examination. |
