Description & properties:
Aspirin is salicylate that has
demonstrated anti-inflammatory,
and antirheumatic agent may be
due to inhibition of synthesis
and release of prostaglandins.
Aspirin appears to produce
analgesic by virtue of
peripheral and CNS effect.
Peripherally, aspirin acts by
inhibiting the synthesis and
release of prostaglandins.
Acting centrally, it would
appear to produce analgesia at a
hypothalamic site in the brain,
although the mode of action is
not know. Aspirin also acts on
the hypothalamus to produce
antipyresis, heat dissipation is
increased peripheral blood flow.
Aspirins antipyretic activity
may be also related to
inhibition of synthesis and
release of prostaglandins.
Each tablet contains:
Acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin)
100 mg.
Acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin)
300 mg.
Indications:
Nespro is used for relief of
toothache, fever of colds,
influenza, headache,
inflammation of arthritic and
other rheumatic diseases.
Dosage and Administration:
Children: 1

3 years 1 tablet 3
times daily.
Over 3 years 2 tablet 3
- 4 times
or (80-100) mg/kg daily
Divided into 4
-
5 times.
Adults: 1-
2 tablets (300mg) 3
times daily after meals. |
