Composition:
Each film coated tablet
contains: 500000 I.U Nystatine
B.P.
Each 5 ml oral suspension
contains: 100000 I.U Nystatine
B.P.
Each vaginal tablet contains:
100000 I.U Nystatine B.P.
Each 1 ml (20 drops) oral drops
contains: 100000 I.U Nystatine
B.P.
Indications:
Neostatine oral suspension and
oral drops are indicated for the
treatment of candidiasis in the
oral cavity.
Neostatine film coated tablet
are intended for the treatment
of intestinal candidiasis.
Neostatine vaginal tablets are
intended for the local treatment
of vaginal mycotic infections
caused by candida albicans.
Dosage:
Neostatine oral suspension:
children and adults one
teaspoonful four times daily.
Neostatine oral drops: Infants 2
ml ( 40 drops ) four times daily
.
The preparation should be
retained in the mouth as long as
possible before swallowing .
Neostatine film coated tablet: 1
-2 tablets three times daily.
Treatment should generally be
continued for at least 48 hours
after clinical cure to prevent
relapse.
Neostatine vaginal tablets: 1 -
2 vaginal tablets at night for
two weeks.
The tablets should be deposited
high in the vagina by means of
the applicator enclosed. |
