Composition:
Each 1 tablet contains:
Aminocaproic acid 500 mg.
Each 5 ml syrup contains:
Aminocaproic acid 1.25 gr.
Indications:
Should be given to stop
bleedings resulting from
surgical operations, obstetric
complications, traumatic
injuries, and genitourinary
bleedings.
Dosage:
It is suggested that 10 tablets
or 4 teaspoonfuls (5 ml) of
syrup of Aminocaprol be
administered during the first
hour of treatment, followed be
continuing rate of 2
tablets or 1 teaspoonful (5 ml)
of syrup per hour. This method
of treatment would
ordinarily be continued for
about 8 hour or until the
bleeding situation has been
controlled. |
